Purpose: Developmental psychologists study changes in human development across the lifespan, including physical, cognitive, social, moral, personality and emotional growth. They apply this knowledge to help people overcome developmental challenges and reach their full potential. Studying the stages of development can also help people recognize when someone’s development is delayed and may aid in obtaining timely intervention and resources.

Explain how you would use your understanding of one of the major developmental theories (Piaget, Freud, Erikson, Kohlberg) to deal with each of the six difficulties provided. More than one theory may apply to each scenario, you only need to discuss one developmental theory per scenario. Be sure to incorporate what research says and cite them in your responses and reference page.
