Directions
Complete the Project One Template in the What to Submit section below. To do this, you will address all of the criteria listed for each of your eight primary, peer-reviewed research articles. Make sure that you incorporate all instructor feedback from your research appraisals. This will require you to arrange the information in more complex ways and conduct a final evaluation of the articles.
1. PICO Question: State your PICO question. Be sure that all components of the PICO model are addressed. Consider the question revisions you may have made and instructor feedback in your response.
2. Citation: Provide the citation for the primary, peer-reviewed research article.
3. Research Design and Hierarchy Level: Identify the type of research design and the hierarchy level of evidence.
4. Population, Size, and Setting: Indicate the population, number of participants, and study location.
5. Interventions: Summarize the interventions implemented or discussed in the article that relate to your PICO question. Note that there may only be one.
6. Data Collection: List the data collection methods and/or instruments the authors used to determine the answer to the article’s research question.
7. Limitations: Assess the limitations of the research article. Be sure to include those listed by the authors and your assessment of any weak spots or deficiencies.
8. Findings and PICO Question Assessment: Briefly assess the findings from the article that relate back to the PICO question.
9. Ethical and Equity Issues: Characterize the ethical and equity issues of the limitations.
10. Article Quality: Evaluate the quality of the article (low, medium, or high). Consider the hierarchy level, strengths, and weaknesses.
11. Primary Peer-Reviewed Research Articles: Incorporate eight primary, peer-reviewed research articles. The articles should be current within the last five years.
